Some big websites went dark on Wednesday in protest of the ham-fisted anti-piracy legislation now under consideration by our elected corporate hacks. Most notably, Wikipedia closed its digital doors, sending countless students and “researchers” on a wild goose chase after plausible facts about every topic under the sun. Their screams of pain echo still across the dark fiber of the web.
